The Department of Periodontology, Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin is one of the specialist departments of the Institute of Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine. This forms CharitéCenter 3 for Dentistry, Oral Medicine and Maxillofacial Surgery and is located at an external site of the Benjamin Franklin Campus in Berlin Schmargendorf, between Heidelberger- and Rüdesheimer Platz.

The Charité stands for the most modern medical education in Germany with high scientific standards and is constantly developing these further. It occupies leading international positions in the focal points of its research areas and will maintain and further expand these.

This requires competence, transparency and reliability. Charité is committed to an ethically sound approach to medical research results vis-à-vis society.
